Borga Kantürk (09.07.1978 / İzmir )
He lives and works in İzmir.
Recent year (29 April – 4 June 2011) Borga Kantürk’s made his third solo exhibition “Cafe Recordis” in Galeri Non, İstanbul. Kantürk has participated in many international and national exhibitions including Emploi-saisonnier, Sextant et Plus, La Friche, Marseille, 2010; Freefall, Apartment Project, Istanbul, 2010; Relative Positions and Conclusions, Suriye Pasajı, Istanbul, 2009; Accumulated: Put aside, Left aside, 5533, Istanbul, 2009; Save as, Contemporary Art from Turkey, Triennale Bovisa, Milano, 2008. In 2005, He completed a three-month artist residency supported by Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Centre and participated in the exhibition Borga Kantürk & Ahmet Öğüt. In the same year he participated in a residency with HIAP in Helsinki, Finland and after this programme he curated several international exhibitions and events with the support of FRAME (FIN), Av-Arkki (FIN), Atelier Frankfurt (DE), K2 Art Centre (TR). He is the founder and director of KUTU Portable Art Gallery. He is also the co-founder of K2 Art Centre where he worked as a Project Director until 2007.
